About me

I am a translator and a political writer based in Utrecht, working primarily from Turkish into English. My work focuses on Kurdish literature, short prose, and literary nonfiction. I have translated works including Böğürtlen Zamanı (Blackberry Season), a collection of memoirs by Murat Türk, and used to work with Meyman Publishing House.

I recently contributed to the Berlin Babel anthology published by V&Q Books, and have also worked as an interpreter at conferences and literary events, including a conference organized by Übersetzen & Weltretten. My work moves between literary translation, interpretation, and the broader cultural exchange that takes place around literature and language.
